“I feel like I Have No Time To Write”
Hello fellow writer. Have you been trying to write your book? How long has it been since you added to your book? When do you plan to next?
The hard-hitting questions we ask ourselves. It’s even worse when someone other than our inner critic queries. Panic settles in.
Will I ever finish this thing. Yes. Now the book cannot be called by its label, more along the lines of the one that shall not be named in fear it will remember you.
And in fear you will remember the taxing, unending task.

The Bad News- When Feeling There Is No Time
Problem 1: It is a pain to make schedules. It will take time and effort to fit this book in. But that what you’re here for right?
Problem 2: People. Non-writers especially, whether it’s questioning why you can’t give them attenti- *ahem* hang out, why you would want to write anyways to interrupting your creative flow of writing.
Problem 3: Writing again… Your desire to do anything but writing at this moment in time.
The Good News
Problem 1 solved: Take the pain away from crafting your schedule with the link at the end of the post.
Problem 2 solved: Explain to your peers you are a writer, whether as a professional or passion-driven, no one should be able to stop what brings you happiness.
Problem 3 solved: A schedule can get you into a route where you want to write, now that it has become a habit.
3 Ways To Find The Time To Write
Getting to the point, let us get over the demon hounding us, who lives heavily perched on your back.
1 Where do the hours go in your day?
To tackle this project, we need to establish what happens and when in your days.
Take 5 minutes to make a schedule covering your week hour by hour. This technique called time blocking. Fill it with however much detail you’d like, from work to video games.
Daunting right? Don’t worry about having to do this more than once (unless you love the process), this is here to establish one thing… how to squeeze that book into your life.
Like magic, time appears. Where you thought there was none. Look there, I see an hour twice a week at least.
You now are able to see the gaps where it’s possible to write!
2 Too busy?
Unfortunately, there isn’t always time to do everything you want. That includes writing. So what can you do about it? Your days are really full but you have a burning passion to write your story.
It’s like a balancing act, ensure you do what’s most important to yourself in your schedule.
Looking at your days, what is it that you can move or need to give up to achieve your writing?
In other words, I mean to declutter your days.
Another great way of saving time while writing, is using Grammarly, this means you spend far less time looking for mistakes and figuring out how to word sentences better.
It can even give suggestions based upon how you want your text to be read, for example:
- Cheerfully
- Informatively
- Worried
- And more
3 Find A Time That’s Best Suits You
Not only do we need to find time to schedule regular writing session, but there is also a need to write when you feel the most creative.
There’s nothing like scheduling a time to work, sitting at the notebook or computer and your mind is blank. Your creative juices are dry, 10 minutes, 30 minutes roll by and you cannot produce a good piece for your story.
You’ve got a great tool, knowing when you are able to write, now it is time to test what time actually works for you.
Whether you knew this in the beginning and require swapping your reading on the long commute to writing. Or you need to try out different times of the day till you find your mojo.
You will find that special time, and it will feel amazing. Remember, consistency is key to making your new schedule to work.
The one who shall not be named is now a familiar friend you willing greet in that time of the week.
Take the pain out of creating your own scheduler.

I’m thrilled you enjoy scheduling! Making life less stressful through this process is important. 🙂
This is a great post for those wanting to do something they are passionate about but life gets in the way, I can not schedule as things always change, but I do have a to do list and fit everything into the list by priority and this helps a lot
Thank you! 🙂 I’m glad you able to use an alternative like your priority list that enables you to do what you need and are passionate about.
I think having a plan to write is such a good idea – I know a few people I would love to hear what they have to say in book form.
Hopefully, they do endeavour into writing one day and have a plan to aid their efforts. 🙂
Schedules can be a pain but also very useful. They’re a great way to allocate time and hopefully give a slot where you can focus on writing.
I agree, that is why I have tried to make the process as easy as possible for the readers here 🙂
